The iDR0 follows in the family of the iDR range, being a 19" rack mountable mix brain with all the DSP power of the iDR0 but without the physical audio sockets. Instead, it gets its audio via the RAB2 64 channel bi-directional Port A and Port B digital audio network slots loaded with a choice of option cards such as EtherSound, MADI or ACE[TM]. The iDR0 provides the perfect space and cost saving solution for multi-console systems such as FOH/Monitor where all systems share the same mic preamps over a Port B digital split. Surface audio is linked using Port A, with control via Ethernet from the Surface or PC running iLive Editor software Think of the iDR0 as a fully loaded iDR10 with blanking plates installed in place of the I/O, and with the EtherSound option installed. Instead of using the iDR0 in a network application, a compact iLive system can be made up of an iDR0 and an iLive surface, with 4 modules of analogue I/O in the surface, and the iDR0 used just for its CPU and DSP functions. The iDR0 allows for the more demanding installations, and brings the iLive system concept closer to our iDR installer system. Like the iDR10 MixRack, the iDR0 can connect to the Allen & Heath PL Series assignable remote controllers and interface directly with the iDR range of products opening up a host of possibilities for big multi-function venues, theatres and houses of worship.
