Description
The production of the original C12 was discontinued in 1963, but over the years the good piece gradually became a highly sought-after collector's item - a legendary microphone known worldwide for its exquisite sound. Now it is back in the program. The new Cl2 VR is an exact replica of the original, with the same electronics, identical acoustics, and only minor changes resulting from more advanced manufacturing technologies and developments in circuit technology.
The microphone now offers even greater robustness, much lower interference sensitivity, and low self-noise. The reissued 1-inch dual-diaphragm capsule technology as well as the same 6072 tube, the heart of this circuit, guarantee the typical sound, warmth, clarity, and transparency of the original model and also convince particularly critical users of the new Cl2 VR. Nine different directional characteristics can be optionally set via the N 12 VR remote control.
Other custom options include two bass filters (remote controllable), switchable pre-attenuation, and also a 10dB increase in nominal sensitivity. Low-frequency distortions are suppressed by an output transformer with special winding, internal elastic mounts provide effective protection of the circuit boards and isolate handling noise.
The Cl2VR package includes the remote control/power supply unit, the elastic suspension H15/T, 10m connection cable, the foam windscreen W 42, and a sturdy aluminum transport case.
