The AKG C5 is a vocal microphone for professional use on stage. The cardioid polar pattern offers optimal protection against feedback and has been optimized for use with in-ear monitoring.
The protective grille, together with the special fabric underneath, serves as a windscreen that reliably eliminates popping and breathing noises as well as unnatural emphasis of sibilants. The included Presence Boost Adapter PB1000 optimizes speech intelligibility by a 5 dB boost in the range between 5 kHz and 9 kHz.
The gold-plated converter housing ensures optimal conductivity and protects the acoustic converter of the AKG C5 particularly resistant to corrosion. The robust spring steel grille cap and the stable die-cast zinc-aluminum housing effectively protect the microphone and capsule from damage in the tough stage everyday life.
