Description
The input is designed both as an unbalanced jack socket and as an XLR socket with a jack through output. The PAD switch not only activates an input attenuation of 20 or 40dB but also changes the input impedance: while in the 0dB position 1 MOhm allows trouble-free and low-loss connection of even high-impedance guitar or bass pickups, the impedance at -20 and -40dB is 47kOhm. The XLR output is transformer-balanced for load impedances of 600 Ohms or higher. The power supply can be via a 9V battery (<2mA) or phantom power (20 - 48V, <8mA), whereby the switch to the applied phantom power can also be automated. The special shape allows bundling of cables beneath the housing rounding.
