Improve your sound for live performances
Clean amplification and Vari-Z control for bass, guitar, and keyboard players. The CL-Zi Mic Activator offers flexible tone control with variable input impedance. The Input-Z control is tunable from 150 to 16 kOhms, allowing you to easily process your microphone signal with exceptional tone shaping.
The CineMag instrument transformer is located before the gain stage. This ensures flawless sound of your instrument signals and delivers exceptional fidelity for every signal. The Input-Z control is ideal for shaping and molding your tone. With the tunable control, you can achieve a truly unique sound.
Variable impedance, high-pass filtering, and gain control
The CL-Zi Mic Activator features three main control areas that give you complete control over the tone of your input signals. One of the most unique parameters is the continuously adjustable high-pass filter. The filter works in conjunction with the impedance control and provides additional tone shaping. The cutoff frequency of the high-pass filter is influenced by the impedance setting. This allows a tunable frequency reduction, ideal for eliminating low-end noise and proximity effects on microphones.
The variable gain control is implemented as a three-position switch. The three settings are minimum, medium, and maximum gain. The max position offers the maximum available gain, which corresponds to +25 dB for microphones or +15 dB for instruments.
Each setting provides a specific gain for microphone and instrument signals. The medium gain setting offers up to 12 dB for microphones or 5 dB for instruments. The minimum setting is ideal for use with high-level signals and provides +6 dB for microphones and 3 dB for instruments.
