With the TD-50X upgrade, the module includes a total of more than 900 sounds - compared to the 422 sounds from the original module - including many new kick, snare, hi-hat, tom, and cymbal sounds. The premium drums utilize the full expressive potential of the Prismatic Sound Modelling Engine and provide excellent playability with rich overtones and unlimited tonal colors.
70 new preset kits
Additionally, 70 newly developed preset kits are available, each optimized for a full, powerful, and dynamic sound. Imagine an acoustic drum set with full microphone setup and effects processing, mixed in a world-class studio - this is the world of the TD-50X. The inspiring kits were created in collaboration with the best drummers and recording engineers and cover every style at the push of a button - from jazz to metal.
32 channels for music production on the computer
If you use your TD-50 for recording and producing tracks in a DAW, you benefit even more from the TD-50X upgrade. By using the Core Audio driver on Mac or the ASIO driver on a Windows computer, 32 audio channels can now be transmitted via USB in high quality instead of the original 10 channels.
