DESCRIPTION
The HSC 4VXP is a fully integrated headset.
A compact microphone CCM 4VXP or 4VP (cardioids for close talk) is firmly connected via a gooseneck element to the ear cup of the closed stereo headphones Ultrasone HFI 780.
The headphone output cable is the only cable of the setup. It is split into microphone output (XLR-3M) and headphone input (balanced 6.3 mm jack).
The pop filter B 5 is included. For even stronger protection against wind and pops, the pop filter B 5 D can also be used.
The CCM 4VXP microphone features strong bass reduction and slight treble boost. It is designed for side talk from the shortest distance, i.e. directly in front of the speaker's mouth. Its bass drop is compensated by the proximity effect. Thus, the microphone has a constant frequency response for the speaker – except for the treble boost – while it has a frequency response with bass drop for interfering noise coming from a greater distance. This weakens background noise compared to the speaker.
The HSC was developed in collaboration with professionals who demanded the highest sound quality.
APPLICATION
The HSC 4VXP headset is widely used for commentators in broadcast transmissions, mainly in sports but also for audio description.
If the commentator sits in a closed booth or similarly protected environment, moderate bass reduction is sufficient. Therefore, in these cases, the "4VP" version is recommended.
