The Filterbank 2 from Sherman is a musical instrument distinctly different from the simple sound shaping of a "regular" filter. With two very complex filters that can be used in parallel or series, modulations, envelopes, a rich tube distortion, and various modular connection possibilities, a fat beat can be generated even from the simple noise of a loose cable. The device is the right answer for unlimited sound shaping applications once you understand it. Housed in an extraordinary case and with an amazingly clear manual, the Filterbank 2 is unexpectedly functional and also exceptionally beautiful.
