So if your goal is to record great-sounding all-round drums with the very special "Million-Dollar" country music sound for which this city is so famous, the decision is very easy: you go straight to the center of creativity, where the majority of all chart-topping country productions are made - in Music City USA.
Next, you naturally look for two of Nashville's most influential and sought-after engineers and musicians, and inevitably come across Chuck Ainlay and Harry Stinson. Chuck, a Grammy Award winner, has an impressive discography of successful album productions, while Harry is considered world-class as a multi-instrumentalist, drummer, and engineer/producer. In their joint careers, the two have worked with such successful artists as Dire Straits, Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, and Martina McBride.
The Music City USA SDX represents the original recordings of its smaller offshoot, the successful Nashville EZX expansion for EZdrummer. The recordings were made in the city's creative hotspot, the Soundkitchen Studios, described by MusicRow Magazine as "the best recording studio in Nashville," with a main room famous for its large, natural room acoustics and its exceptionally warm sound characteristics.
The library is built around the sound of a PB Drum Co. drum set, sampled with sticks, brushes, and fingers. In addition, a unique Slingerland Vintage 1968 snare drum, many additional snares, an alternative bass drum, a wide selection of various cymbals, and a huge MIDI library with countless grooves and fill-ins are available.
The Music City USA SDX offers big and warm drum sounds with lots of character that you can very easily edit and shape to your needs and taste – from country to pop, rock, and soul.
