Elektrisch ist die transformatorlose Schaltung aus dem KM 100-System übernommen worden. Sie ist für die hervorragenden technischen Werte der Mikrophone verantwortlich. Der Druckempfänger KM 183 besitzt einen im freien Schallfeld wirksamen Höhenanstieg von ca. 7 dB bei 10 kHz. Dadurch ergibt sich im diffusen Schallfeld ein ebener Frequenzgang.</p>
